Thursday 18th January
Thanks to everyone who made it possible for our school to watch a special performance of Cinderella at the Kings Theatre. It was fantastic and we all laughed a lot, even the Jambo’s in the school!
Well done everyone your behaviour and manners were a real credit to yourselves and the school.
Extra lovely as we saw a few ex pupils – Stephen, Michael and Scott!
Bring on next year’s panto……
Happy New Year, Rowanfield!
I hope you’ve decided your new year’s resolution, cause I have.
Mine is to learn new things!
What is your one? Tell me down below!
At New Year’s Eve, I stayed up late until midnight! I climbed halfway up Blackford Hill and went into a field to see the fireworks with mum, Mortimer (my bro), my auntie Olivia and uncle Borge! It was so much fun!
Bye for now!

My teacher has told me that I am not allowed to write about ??? Until December so..,
Hello Everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for looking at the website and learning here. I also want to say, ‘we wish you a merry December!’
In the Juniors our new topic is monsters, like Nessie the Loch Ness Monster. We have finished learning about Islam and some people visited our local mosque. In the Seniors they are learning about the Rainforest until their topic changes to that thing that happens on 25th December.
Our next event is on 14th December 2017 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, we are having a seasonal social evening, parents are welcome.
Well, that’s it for today! See you later! Bye readers!

In a recent post, we told you we’re having a readathon. So I’m going to start interviewing people about books. let’s get started.
I asked some people in my team what they thought about reading. Here is what they said:
Myself (Ivy) “books give me nothing but joy and inspiration!”
Lucy said “I enjoy reading books it helps me feel relaxed”
Ms Mellors “I love reading books, it’s soothing and gives me a good feeling. you also learn. the more you read, the more you learn.”
Debbie said “it’s fun to read”
What do YOU like about reading? Leave us a comment and let us know.

Today the author John Fardell (our Patron of Reading) came into school to make up stories with some of the pupils using his well-known character Manfred the Baddie.
Chase, James, Lewis & Robert had a great time.
They each worked on a story. James’s story had boys with propeller hats travelling to the moon to eat cheese! There were aliens, robots and UFO’s. Chase had made an amazing lair for Manfred with many inventions such as a secret spy hole and a place to store his loot! Lewis designed a new car for Manfred to rob a bank – it had propellers, booster rockets and many other inventions. Robert drew some fantastic illustrations for his story that involved an evil cake and a boy called Tom.
Here are some photos of their fantastic work
Thank you very much John and what marvellous inventions and stories you created boys.
