Happy New Year! Its been a busy 2017 so far here at Rowanfield. Here are some of the highlights.
We seem to have been waiting for snow for ages and at last, earlier this month we got some. Everyone put on their warm clothes and rushed outside. There wasn’t quite enough to make a snowman but we did have fun making snow angels and catching snowflakes.
We were delighted to welcome representatives from Hibernian FC into Rowanfield as part of their Persevered Scottish Cup Trophy Tour. They told how Hibernian waited 114 years, since 1902 when it last won the famous trophy, sharing the message: persevere. To find out more visit the Persevered Website
Our House Mascots have been looking a little chilly of late but thanks to Mrs Scott, they are all warm and cosy again. Their winter woolies arrived this week and all four bears are now sporting smart new jumpers. Thank you knitters!
This week is national story telling week. We have been celebrating by retelling our favourite tales. Some of the adults got in on the act and classes were invited to listen to the story of the Pied Piper in the special story telling room.
